Your Documents Speak for Your Brand—What Are Yours Saying?

Whether it's a menu, programme, leaflet, or brochure, your documents are often the first physical touchpoint customers have with your business. Yet too many organisations struggle with:

❌ Generic templates that look like everyone else's

❌ Cluttered layouts that are hard to read and navigate

❌ Inconsistent branding across different documents

❌ DIY designs that look unprofessional and damage credibility

❌ Information overload with no clear hierarchy or structure

❌ Poor print quality that doesn't match the design vision

Your documents should inform, engage, and impress—not confuse or disappoint.

From Brief to Beautiful: Our Simple 5-Step Process

Understanding your document needs

We begin by discussing your goals, target audience, and the key messages you want to convey through your document. We'll review all content, images, and information to include, ensuring nothing important is overlooked and everything aligns with your objectives. Understanding your document's purpose—whether it's a menu, programme, leaflet, or brochure—and how it will be distributed helps us make informed design decisions about format, size, and layout. We'll also gather your brand guidelines and any existing materials to maintain consistency across all your marketing collateral, creating a cohesive brand experience for your audience.

Timeline: Day 1

Planning & Structure

We create a clear document structure and information hierarchy that guides your audience through the content logically and intuitively. Our designers plan the page layout and section organization to ensure key information stands out while maintaining visual flow and readability. We determine the optimal page count and format based on your content volume, budget, and distribution method—whether it's a compact folded leaflet or a multi-page brochure. Initial layout concepts are sketched to establish the foundation for your document, mapping out how text, images, and design elements will work together before moving into detailed design work.

Timeline: Days 2-3

Design Development

Our designers create initial pages that showcase the style direction and overall aesthetic for your document. We apply your brand colours, fonts, and imagery to ensure complete alignment with your existing brand identity and visual standards. Careful attention is given to creating visual hierarchy and flow, making sure readers can easily navigate the content and absorb information in the intended order. We then present these design concepts for your feedback, allowing you to see how your document will look and feel before we complete all pages, ensuring we're on the right track and meeting your expectations.

Timeline: Day 4-5

Refinement & Quality Assurance

We integrate all your content into the designed layout, bringing together text, images, and graphics into a cohesive, polished document. Our designers refine typography, spacing, and alignment throughout every page, while optimizing images and graphics to ensure they're sharp, properly sized, and enhance your message. We offer unlimited revisions until you're completely happy with the result, making adjustments based on your feedback at every stage. Before finalizing, every document undergoes a thorough quality check by a colleague who reviews for spelling, grammar, and accuracy, ensuring your document is error-free and ready for print or digital distribution.

Timeline: Day 5-6

Final Delivery

You'll receive high-resolution files in all the formats you need—PDF, JPG, PNG, and more—ensuring compatibility across all your marketing channels. If you're printing your advert, we'll provide print-ready files complete with bleed and crop marks to guarantee flawless production. For digital campaigns, we'll supply web-optimised versions sized and formatted for online use, ensuring fast loading times without compromising quality. Source files are also available upon request, giving you complete flexibility for future updates or adaptations.

Design Principles That Make Documents Work

Design Excellence

Clear Visual Hierarchy

We organise information so readers naturally flow from most important to supporting details. Headlines, subheadings, and body text are clearly differentiated.

Strategic White Space

We don't cram every inch with content. Strategic white space makes documents easier to read, more professional, and less overwhelming.

Consistent Typography

We use a limited, strategic font palette that enhances readability and reinforces your brand identity throughout the document.

Purposeful Colour Usage

Colours aren't just decorative—they guide attention, create sections, and reinforce your brand without overwhelming the content.

High-Quality Imagery

We only use high-resolution images (300 DPI) properly sized and positioned to enhance, not distract from, your message.

Technical Perfection

Print-Ready Specifications

Every document includes proper bleed (3mm), trim marks, and colour profiles (CMYK for print, RGB for digital).

Grid-Based Layouts

We use professional grid systems to ensure perfect alignment, consistent spacing, and visual harmony throughout.

Accessibility Considerations

Readable font sizes (minimum 10pt for body text), sufficient contrast ratios, and logical reading order.

Format Optimisation

Documents optimised for their intended use—folding for leaflets, binding for brochures, digital viewing for PDFs.

Quality Control Process

Every document reviewed by a second pair of eyes for spelling, grammar, alignment, and print readiness.

LET'S TALK

Common Questions About Our Document Design Service

Q: How long does it take to design a document?

Most single documents (leaflets, menus) are completed in 3-5 working days. Multi-page documents (brochures, programmes) typically take 5-7 working days. Rush orders can be accommodated for a small additional fee (typically 10-20%). Timeline depends on content complexity and how quickly you provide feedback.

Q: How many revisions do I get?

Unlimited! We'll keep refining until you're 100% satisfied. Our goal is your complete happiness with the final design.

Q: What information and content do you need from me?

We'll need: all text content (or rough draft we can refine), high-resolution images or photos, your logo and brand colours/fonts, document dimensions/specifications, quantity needed (if printing), and your target audience and goals. We'll guide you through everything during our discovery call.

Q: What if I don't have professional photos?

No problem! We can source high-quality stock images, or we can discuss a photoshoot if needed. We'll make sure your document looks professional regardless.

Q: What's your payment process?

For projects over £1,000, we require a 50% deposit with the remainder due before final file delivery. Smaller projects are typically invoiced upon completion. We accept bank transfer and card payments.
